GitHub, the Shopware Forum and Stack Overflow are publicly available sources. We include relevant activity from these platforms in the Hub feed.

For Discord, we store messages only from public channels with a description that they are mirrored to the Community Hub.

However, these activities are only linked to your Community Hub profile if you choose to connect the corresponding (GitHub/Shopware/StackOverflow/Discord) account in your settings.

  <CollapsibleSection title="How Are Activities Evaluated in the Community Hub?">
		Activity Scoring and Color Representation
The Activity Chart in the Community Hub displays your activities throughout the year. The color intensity of each day is determined based on the number of activities on that specific day:

Level 1 (lightest color): 1–25% of the year’s maximum activity

Level 2 (medium-light): 26–50% of the year’s maximum activity

Level 3 (medium-dark): 51–75% of the year’s maximum activity

Level 4 (darkest color): 76–100% of the year’s maximum activity

    The calculation is dynamic: the system compares your daily activity to your most active day of the year and assigns it to one of the four color levels accordingly.

Activity Groups and Their Classification
Your activities are grouped into five different categories, each represented by a specific color:

  <CollapsibleSection title="What are Weekly Streaks and how do they work?">
		What is a Weekly Streak?
A Weekly Streak is a gamification system that tracks your continuous activity in the community over multiple weeks. You earn a streak when you perform at least one relevant activity in the community during a calendar week. Your streak increases if you stay active in consecutive weeks – and if you ever miss a week, Freezes can step in to protect your progress so your streak doesn’t reset right away.

Which events count toward a Weekly Streak?
The following activities contribute to your Weekly Streak:

General Activities:

Login / Sign Up

Creating posts

Writing comments

Reacting to posts/comments

Creating or attending events

Publishing resources

Creating or joining clubs

Learning Activities:

Enrolling in, starting, or completing Learning Paths

Starting or completing Learning Courses

Starting or completing Learning Units

Completing questionnaires

    What are Freezes for?
Freezes are a protection mechanism for your Weekly Streak. They ensure your streak continues even if you take a break for one week. Freezes are especially helpful once you’ve built up a longer streak (starting from 2 weeks) and need to pause for any reason.

When do Freezes protect my streak?
Freezes step in automatically when:

You miss a week without any relevant activity

Your current streak is at least 2 weeks long

You have Freezes available

    The system calculates how many Freezes are needed (1 Freeze per missed week) and applies them automatically. If you don’t have enough Freezes to cover all missed weeks, the available ones will still be used – but your streak will reset once they run out.

Are Freezes applied automatically for me?
Yes! Freezes are activated fully automatically as soon as the conditions are met. They are always used to protect your streak for as long as possible. If you miss more weeks than you have Freezes, your streak will reset once your Freezes are exhausted. You can simply focus on your activities – the system takes care of the rest.

When and how many Freezes do I get?
Initial allocation:

You receive 5 Freezes as soon as you perform your first relevant activity.

    Regular replenishment:

Every year (counted from your last replenishment), your Freezes are automatically topped up to 5.

Replenishment only happens if you have fewer than 5 Freezes.

Your total stock will be replenished up to a maximum of 5 Freezes.

    Tip: Streaks are a fun, optional way to track your activity – but you don’t have to worry about them if they’re not your thing. If you’d like to keep your streak going, just one relevant activity per calendar week is enough.

<CollapsibleGroup>
	<CollapsibleSection title="How does the Leaderboard work?">
		The Leaderboard showcases top community contributors, ranked by XP scored. By default, it displays monthly rankings to give new members a chance to shine. However, you can filter the board by date to see all-time and yearly leaders.

<CollapsibleGroup>
	<CollapsibleSection title="What is a club?">
    Clubs are community-driven groups centered around specific topics, interests, or projects within the Shopware ecosystem. They provide a space for members to connect, collaborate, and share knowledge on shared passions.
  </CollapsibleSection>
  <CollapsibleSection title="Which possibilities do I have as a club admin?">
    How can I create or link a discord channel for a club?
To create a discord channel for a club, you can go to the club page and click on the button "Edit club".
      This will open the Club settings with a subnavigation. When you select Discord you have the possibility to either link a public discord channel or create a private one.
      It then will automatically invite all club members who have a discord account connected to that channel.
How can I connect my club to my company and what are the benefits?
If you have your company connected to your Community Hub profile, you can link your club to your company in the Club settings > Profile under Company Connection (at the bottom).
How can I share events in my club?
When you create an event, you can select the club as 'publishing area' in the event creation form.
How can I manage my club's memberships?
You can manage your club's membership in the Club settings > Members. There you can see all members of your club and their roles.
      You can promote members to admins or demote admins to members (including yourself). You can also create roles that have the same permission set as the member role, to better reflect the group dynamics. Each user can join or leave a club at any time by themselves.
      Additionally, you can also invite users to become members.

## 📚 Resources

<CollapsibleGroup>
  <CollapsibleSection title="How do I submit a resource to be featured in the Resources page?">
    To have your resource featured in Community Hub’s 'Resources' page, start by either posting it via the Hub feed or via the 'Resources' page itself.
    All you need to do is:

Click on “Share as resource” (Hub feed) or on "Submit Resource" (Resources page).

Add the link to the resource and include any supporting information if needed.

Choose the appropriate resource type (Blog Post, Video or Podcast channel).

    Once submitted, other members can give your resource kudos (💙). If it earns enough (minimum 3 kudos), it will be flagged for
    review and, if approved, we will feature it in our main Resources section for other community members to easily find.
  </CollapsibleSection>
  <CollapsibleSection title="What types of resources can I share?">
    Currently, you can share blog posts, videos, and podcast episodes as resources by posting them as links in the Hub feed.
This is a new initiative, and we will expand the available resource types over time.
If you have other valuable content or links you'd like to share, feel free to post them in the Hub feed as a regular post—they just can’t be submitted as a resource (yet!).
  </CollapsibleSection>
  <CollapsibleSection title="Why should I submit a resource?">
    Sharing a resource is a great way to give back to the community and help others discover valuable content.
# Shopware Payments for Merchants

# Shopware Payments for Merchants

Running an online shop means payments never really stop – and neither do the questions that follow them. Where did this payout come from? Why doesn't this refund match the order? Who handles this dispute?

Meet **Strum & Co.**, a guitar accessories shop built on Shopware 6. They sell well, but their payments are spread across three tools: the Shopware administration, a payment provider portal, and a spreadsheet their finance lead updates every Friday. It works – until it doesn't.

This learning path is about fixing that. **Shopware Payments** brings payment configuration, order-level actions, and financial workflows directly into the Shopware administration — so your commerce, finance, and support teams can work from one place instead of three.

## Who This Is For

This path is built for **merchants and ecommerce managers** running Shopware 6 shops who own payment decisions, day-to-day operations, or cross-team coordination.

**Finance and support teams** will also benefit – not because they need to become payment engineers, but because shared vocabulary and process clarity reduce the back-and-forth that slows everyone down.

## What You Will Learn

By the end of this path, you will be able to:

- Decide whether Shopware Payments is the right fit for your shop — and understand what changes when you move to an embedded payment model
- Choose the right payment methods for your markets without turning it into a guessing game
- Handle daily payment tasks — captures, refunds, cancellations — without leaving the Shopware administration
- Close your books at month-end with confidence, knowing how transactions, payouts, and fees connect
- Respond to disputes with a clear process, realistic timelines, and evidence that actually helps

## How the Path Is Organized

Five courses follow the order that makes operational sense — from evaluating the platform, to choosing payment methods, to running daily operations, finance close, and dispute handling.

| # | Course | What It Covers |
|---|--------|----------------|
| 1 | **Shopware Payments Platform** | How embedded payments work, onboarding, and how Shopware Payments compares to traditional payment integrations |
| 2 | **Payment Methods Essentials** | Shared vocabulary, payment lifecycle, method families, local methods, and launch method strategy |
| 3 | **Operate Shopware Payments: Your Control Center** | Daily workflows in the Shopware administration and PayPal Merchant Dashboard |
| 4 | **Finance and Reporting Essentials** | Month-end reconciliation, fee tracking, refund accounting, and common pitfalls |
| 5 | **Disputes Essentials for Merchants** | Dispute types, evidence workflows, timelines, and prevention habits |

Strum & Co. appears throughout each course as a practical example — same shop, same team, same problems you're likely to recognize.

## Before You Start

You'll get the most out of this path if you're already comfortable with:

- **Shopware 6 administration basics** — navigating orders, payment settings, and sales channels
- **Ecommerce payment basics** — understanding that checkout is just the beginning, and that refunds and payouts are separate events

No payment engineering background is needed. If some terms feel unfamiliar, Course 2 will align everyone on the same vocabulary before the operational content begins.

## Courses
- [Shopware Payments Platform: How It Helps Merchants](/learn/course/shopware-payments-platform): Evaluate Shopware Payments as embedded payments in Shopware 6—onboarding, platform synergies, and how setup and operations differ from plugin-based PSP stacks.
- [Payment Methods Essentials](/learn/course/payment-methods-essentials): Build shared payment vocabulary, trace the lifecycle to payout, compare method families and local methods, and design a launch method mix.
- [Operate Shopware Payments: Your Control Center](/learn/course/operate-shopware-payments-control-center): Operate Shopware Payments in administration per order and use the PayPal Merchant Dashboard for activity, payouts, exports, and dispute visibility.
- [Finance and Reporting Essentials](/learn/course/finance-and-reporting-essentials): Separate transactions, payouts, and fees; apply three-way matching, refund accounting basics, month-end close, and common reconciliation pitfalls.
- [Disputes Essentials for Merchants](/learn/course/disputes-essentials-for-merchants): Distinguish dispute, claim, and chargeback stages; match evidence to reason labels; plan around holds; and apply prevention habits.

# Shopware PaaS Native Essentials

# Welcome to Shopware PaaS Native Essentials

Shopware PaaS Native is Shopware’s managed platform for running Shopware 6 projects. Instead of managing infrastructure, you focus on code, configuration, and deployments.

In this learning path, you will learn when Native PaaS is the right fit and how to use it in real projects, so you can configure, deploy, and operate Shopware environments with confidence.

The path moves through three stages: getting the platform fit and setup right, understanding configuration and delivery, and making realistic runtime and go-live decisions.

This is the entry learning path for Shopware PaaS Native, but it assumes existing Shopware development practice and basic CLI, Git, and Composer knowledge.

<Callout title="Early Availability" type="info">

Native PaaS is in pilot / early availability. Features, SLAs (Service Level Agreements), billing views, and documentation are still evolving. Formal SLA documents and some operational automations, such as self-service rollback, may still be work in progress. Align with Shopware and the latest developer documentation before you promise timelines to merchants.

</Callout>

## What You Will Learn

This learning path takes you through the full Native PaaS workflow, from the first platform decision to runtime operations:

- Positioning and setup: understand what Native PaaS is, when it fits, how `sw-paas` access works, and how Git and Composer act as the source of truth.
- Configuration and delivery: place values correctly in `application.yaml`, Vault, or `.env`, understand build versus deploy, and decide what belongs after deployment.
- Runtime and go-live: debug with the right tools, work with managed services and scaling expectations, and prepare domains, rollback planning, and platform limits realistically.

## Who This Is For

- Backend developers and DevOps engineers at Shopware agency partners who ship, deploy, and run Shopware 6 projects.
- Solutions architects and technical consultants who compare hosting models and plan CI/CD, secrets, and environments for Shopware projects.
