Let's bring this idea to life by adding manufacturers to your shop and linking them to the products in your catalog.

Let's get started with adding the iconic **Strum & Co.** brand to your store!

## Adding a manufacturer

### Step 1: Go to the manufacturer's module

1. In your Shopware admin, go to **Catalogs -> Manufacturers**.
2. You'll see an empty list since no manufacturers have been added yet. Let's fix that!

### Step 2: Create a manufacturer

1. Click **Add manufacturer** in the top-right corner.
2. Fill out the following details:
   - **Name**: *Strum & Co.*
   - **Website URL**: *<http://www.strum.co>*
   - **Logo**: Upload logo

3. Add a **description** for the manufacturer, like this:
*Strum & Co. is an iconic name in the music industry, known for its high-quality guitars and legendary contributions to rock music history. Partnering with Fender brings authenticity and trust to your shop.*

4. Click **Save** to create the manufacturer.

### Step 3: Assign manufacturer to a product

Now that Strum & Co. is part of your shop let's link it to a product:

1. Go to **Catalogs -> Products**.
2. Select the **American Ultra Stratocaster** product you created earlier.
3. In the **General** tab, locate the **Manufacturer** field.
4. Select **Strum & Co.** from the dropdown menu.
5. Click **Save** to confirm the changes.

If not, refresh your storefront and check the following:

1. Navigate to the **American Ultra Stratocaster** in the **Electric Guitars** category.
2. Look for the **Strum & Co.** name and logo displayed on the product detail page (top-right corner).

Additionally, on the product listing page, you'll notice a new filter by **Manufacturer**. This allows customers to narrow their search by brand.

## Activity: Add another Manufacturer

Practice makes perfect! Try adding another brand for example, **Rock Guitars**, to your shop:

1. Repeat the steps above to create a new manufacturer.
2. Assign the manufacturer to a relevant product, such as **Acoustic Guitars**.
3. Refresh your storefront and explore how the manufacturer improves your shop's navigation and appeal.

## Final thoughts

Adding manufacturers to your **Strum & Co.** shop not only builds customer trust by associating products with recognizable, reliable brands but also enhances the shopping experience through improved search and filtering options while enriching your store's identity with meaningful brand storytelling.
