# Kickstart Shopware 6

This unit is about giving you the opportunity to use Shopware so that you can directly apply and use what you have learned in a practical, hands-on way.

If you already have a Shopware installation available for testing, you can skip this unit. However, please avoid using a live shop for testing, as it may disrupt ongoing operations.

For everyone else, below are several options to help you set up your environment.

## Shopware Learning Environment (Recommended)

Shopware's new demo environment is designed to allow you to make practical experiences directly within our Learning Paths and provide a swift and straightforward entry point to give you an **interactive learning journey**. You can create your individual instance directly here:

<ShopdevInstance plugin="lp15" step="DoNotDisplay" plan="rise" />

This box will follow you through this learning path, so it is always available when you want to try out something you just learned. Additionally, you will get **instant feedback** if you configure the interactivity tasks correctly. We recommend opening two new tabs - one for the Administration and one for the Storefront.

It is based on the Shopware Rise Plan, so you can access the necessary functionalities we focus on. It is not meant to function as a live shop at any time and cannot be transitioned into a live environment. The environments are automatically deleted after completing the corresponding course, inactivity for more than 10 days, or if you click within the box on the button "destroy," but you will always have the opportunity to create a new one. If, at any time, you see technical difficulties, please report them to us.

## Shopware Developer Cloud

Alternatively, you can opt for the Shopware Developer Cloud through your **Shopware Account**. It is important to note that this environment is intended solely for testing and development purposes and will be deleted automatically after 30 days. Despite this, it remains an accessible and practical option for immediately starting testing with Shopware.

You can easily create a Developer Cloud environment from your existing Shopware Account. Head to [account.shopware.com](https://account.shopware.com/) to log in or register. You will then find the Developer Cloud environment in your Dashboard. For more details, visit our documentation on [Developer Cloud environment](https://docs.shopware.com/en/shopware-account-en/general/cloud-sandbox).

## Shopware Cloud environment

If you plan to work with Shopware Cloud and have not accessed it yet, please [contact our team](https://www.shopware.com/en/shopware-cloud/).

## Shopware on-premise

A more time-demanding way to set up a test store is to install a self-hosted store. The advantage is that it is not deleted after 30 days, and you can set up your live store afterward. In addition, you have to book a server from a [hosting provider](https://www.shopware.com/en/partner/hosting/) in advance, which comes with costs.

If you decide to proceed, follow the detailed documentation on [Shopware Installation Guide](https://docs.shopware.com/en/shopware-6-en/first-steps/installing-shopware-6?category=shopware-6-en/getting-started).
