# Shopware Intelligence at a Glance

<LearningObjectives>

- **Explain** what Shopware Intelligence is as an umbrella term.
- **Distinguish** free monthly allowances from advanced tools that need Intelligence+.
- **Use** a free Intelligence helper to generate a product description.

</LearningObjectives>

# Speed Up Catalog Work With Shopware Intelligence

At **Strum & Co.**, writing product texts, translating reviews, and sorting customers still takes time. **Shopware Intelligence** is Shopware's umbrella for AI capabilities in the Administration and storefront — not a single button.

<Callout title="Label tip" type="info">

Some screens still show **AI Copilot**. That label often means an Intelligence helper on a form (for example product descriptions). It is not the same as the chat sidebar **Copilot** you meet later in this course.

## Free Helpers You Can Use Today

Many Intelligence features include a small free monthly allowance. Typical back-office helpers:

- **AI Description Assistant** — generate product descriptions from keywords.
- **Shopping Experience text** — create, edit, and translate storefront content.
- **Image Keyword Assistant** — suggest keywords for media.
- **Product properties** — suggest properties from descriptions.
- **Review translation and summaries** — make feedback easier to use.
- **Customer classification** — label customers from order history.
- **Custom checkout messages** — personalized post-purchase text.
- **Export assistant** — build CSV exports from a natural-language prompt.

Storefront discovery features such as **Search by context** and **Search by image** belong to Intelligence as well; you configure them in the [Search](/learn/unit/user-process-search-seo) unit.

## Try It: Product Description at Strum & Co

List a new **ST Acoustic** guitar and let Intelligence draft the description:

<ShopdevInstance plugin="lp15" step="DoNotDisplay" plan="rise" />

1. Open the product in the Administration and go to the **General** tab.
2. Under the description, choose **Ask AI Copilot** (or the Intelligence control shown there).
3. Enter keywords, for example: *high-quality laminate, beginners and professionals, nato neck, lively sound*.
4. Review the text, adapt the tone if needed, paste it into the description, and **Save**.

You can also translate reviews and classify customers from the matching admin screens when you need those workflows.

## Free Allowance Versus Advanced Tools

In practice you work with two layers:

1. **Everyday helpers** — available with a free monthly allowance (like the description assistant above).
2. **Advanced tools** — Image Editor, CAD to 3D, 3D Preview Generator, Copilot Data Insights, and Copilot Agentic. These need higher capacity or a dedicated service setup.

**Shopware Intelligence+** is the optional subscription for that second layer: higher limits, improved quality, and those advanced workflows. You enable and manage them through **Shopware Services** (next unit — building on the Services model from the Beginner’s guide). The booking sits under **Settings → System → Shopware Services** when a free allowance is used up or you need an advanced feature.

So you can start learning with free helpers today, and you always know where subscription status lives when a workflow requires more.

## Final Thoughts

Shopware Intelligence is the umbrella; free helpers cover everyday catalog and content tasks; Intelligence+ is the optional path for higher limits and advanced tools. Practice description and content helpers at Strum & Co. first — later units teach Image Editor, spatial assets, and Copilot step by step.

**How to prove it works:** generate a product description with the Intelligence helper, adapt the tone, save it, and confirm the text appears on the product.
